Hair Tutorial: Easy Beach Waves

Being the tropical girl that I am, I have mastered the art of creating easy, beach waves. I love wearing this look during the dead of winter because it reminds me of the sun, sand and sea and (sort of) warms my heart, especially during the harsh NY winter that we're having right now!

This look is so easy to achieve and can be done in 30 minutes, tops!

Products and Items needed:

1. Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray: This is something that I tried just for this tutorial. I must say, the name "Beach Babe" really talked to me when I passed by the aisle of CVS since I am after all, a beach bunny. Price: $9.00.

2. Tresemm√©‎ Hairspray (#4 hold): I've always, always LOVED this hairspray! It gives you superior hold BUT with a touchable feel. I know it sounds contradictory but really, it does. Price: $6.00.

3. Hair Dryer

4. Curling Iron (medium barrel)

Step-by-Step Tutorial

Before look: I have straight hair and I like adding a little drama to it! :)

Step 1: Spray Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray all over your hair, equally.

Step 2: Blow dry your hair straight. It does not have to be super straight. My hair is just naturally straight so it looks like I did a professional job blow drying it!

Step 4: Using a medium sized curling iron, curl sections of your hair AWAY from the face. Do not leave it on it for too long because you don't want tight curls. I always count up to 20 before I let go of a section.

Step 5: Scrunch the waves to make them look naturally, effortlessly but beautifully messy.

Step 6: Spritz some Tresemm√© Hairspray all over the hair to hold the look.

Step 7: Think of the beach and enjoy your waves, you beach babe you!

Do you like this look? Will you be trying it?
