Baby Proofing Technology

My husband and I love watching tv - from Sienfeld and The Office re-runs to new episodes of our current obsessions, namely House of Cards, Better Call Saul, Big Little Lies, The Night Of and so much more.

We love enjoying our evening couch time, or floor time for that matter since we involve Mikey in our tv habit (we like laying on the rug with him watching TV as he crawls around playing with the random-est things to amuse him).

So, it didn't come as a surprise to us when Mikey suddenly grew fond of remote controls. He has been seeing how this powerful little black thing controls what gets flashed on the screen. He loves pressing the buttons and seeing the cause-and-effect of every little action that he makes with it.

It has become one of his favorite toys (along with the tissue box and his banana shaped toothbrush - I know, it boggles me as to why we even spend a lot of money on fancy toys when he's perfectly happy with regular household objects.)

Anyway, we allow him to play with it when we're not using the television because what's the harm, right?

It has been fine up until yesterday when I saw this email from Amazon.

I mean, he could have at least ordered something I'd like to watch.

I immediately looked at the little man and this is what I saw.

Caught in the act... Well not really since he already did it at this point.

And it's as if he was plotting this little scheme, he gave me this laugh after I found out.

Yup, he knows what he did.

Oh boy. Never realized we have to baby proof our devices! Thank goodness it's just a $5.00 movie and not a fridge.

Also, how the heck did he even reach the confirmation/checkout page?! I guess we're not done baby proofing yet!
